Commissions

Commissions are OPEN! I will be accepting a select number of commissions for Spring 2024. Please review the information below and reach out if you have an idea you'd like to discuss.

More Information: Commissions and Restorations

Periodically, I will open my books to accept commissions.  Each commission process can look a little different but the following elements will give you an idea of what to expect.

Please note, I do not work with or take commission or restoration requests for leaded, weatherproof windows.  I am, however, very happy to work with you on a panel or suncatcher that sits inside your existing window.

My Commissions Process

Submitting your Request

You are welcome to submit your commission request at any time, however, if my books are closed, I will not be responding to inquiries until they are opened up.

When submitting your request, please use the form below and include the following information:

  • Dimensions
  • Design idea (subject, style, preferred color etc.)
  • Timeline
  • Budget (if you're not sure on this, we can discuss during the consultation)

Consultation

The first step will always involve a discussion with me so I can get a firm idea of what you're looking for.  This conversation is completely free of charge and can take up to an hour, depending on how intricate the design and how specific you want to get.  During this initial conversation, I will be looking to get clarity on the size, colour, textures and design you are looking for.

While I am very good at what I do, if what you are looking for is outside my skillset, I will absolutely refer you to a trusted artists who is better suited to bring your design to life.

Proposal and Deposit

Following out discussion, I will put together a proposal and set up a meeting to review.  The proposal will summarize your specifications and present you with options for your consideration.  I will give you an approximate timeline and cost for the completion of the project.  If you decide to proceed, you will be asked to provide a deposit.

More on Cost

The cost of a commission depends on the following elements:

  1. the size of the artwork
  2. the type of glass you are requesting
  3. the intricacy of the design (the more intricate the design, the more time required to create the artwork)

Finalizing Design and Glass

Once you've accepted the proposal, I will create a full-size drawing of your project for your review.  At this time, we will finalize any adjustments to the design and select the right glass for your design.  This will allow me to finalize the cost estimate and begin working on your piece.

Completion

You will be notified when your custom piece is completed and ready to be picked-up, delivered or shipped.

Restorations

Restoration requests are always open and are accepted on a case by case basis. If I cannot restore your piece, I will notify you and recommend a trusted colleague who will be able to help you!
